History of Spain

The official name of the country or “long form*#8221; is “The Kingdom of Spain*#8221;. The country is located just north of the continent of Africa, and is the southern most country in Europe. Spain is the larger of two countries which make of the Iberian Peninsula, the other being Portugal. This beautiful country also made up of many romantic Mediterranean islands known as the Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands, as well as others.

Spanish Geography

Spain covers an area of approximately 500, 000 sq km in the southern area of Europe, Spain has almost 5000 killometers of coast line which lies in the north along the bay of Biscay, and in the south west on the atlantic ocean and the south east on the mediterranean sea. Its northern coastline along the Mediterranean Sea. Just below Spain lies the continent of Africa.

Spain is mostly sunny and warm no matter where or when you travel, however there are some places high up in elevation which offer sking during the winter months.
