Day 1 – Arrive Madrid

Upon arrival at the Madrid airport, you will be met by one of our chauffeurs who will transport you to your hotel in Madrid.

Enjoy your first day at leisure. You may wish to treat yourself to a tapas dinner and  sample the various delicacies Madrid has to offer.

Day 2 – Madrid – Half day tour of Madrid

In half a day you will discover Madrid under its different historical periods by private car.  You will see everything from the Bullring to the Olympic Stadium, from the Puerto del Sol to the Parque del Retiro.

You private Spain tour will end with a visit to the famed Prado Museum, containing one of the world's finest collections of Spanish, Italian and Flemish paintings, between the XVI and XVIII.  Works by famed Spanish painters Velázquez, Murillo, El Greco and Goya are housed at the Prado and alone are worth the visit.

Day 3 – Madrid – Half day tour of Toledo – Madrid

70 km away from Madrid, another of Spain’s cities considered as World heritage, the historic city of Toledo. The whole route will be done by foot, enjoying this beautiful medieval city, the old capital of Spain, which even today holds the quarters of the Cardinal Primate and where the painter El Greco lived for most of his life. Included will be visits to the Cathedral, Santo Tome Church and the Synagogue Santa Maria la Blanca.

Day 4 – Madrid – Seville

Today your driver will meet you at your hotel to transport you to the rail station in Madrid.  With the rail tickets we have pre-arranged, you will travel to Seville on the high speed AVE train.  Upon arrival at the Seville train station, the chauffer will take you to your hotel in Seville.

You may wish to take this evening to have dinner in a romantic nook or take in a vivacious Flamenco show.

Day 5 – Seville – Half day tour of Seville

Today a guide will meet you at your hotel to give you a private tour of the monuments of Seville. You will get to see the wonderful architectural innovations created for the Iberoamerican Exposition in 1929. You will also visit the Giralda, the Alcazar and Barrio de Santa Cruz which will give you an idea of how Jewish, Christian and Muslim culture and communityare intimately intertwined in Spain.

Overnight in Seville in the same hotel.

Day 6 – Seville - Half day tour of Cordoba – Seville

You will be met at your hotel by your driver who will take you to the rail station for your train to Cordoba.  Upon arrival you will be met by your guide and driver to start your tour of Cordoba.  Your tour guide will take you through the various quarters in Cordoba and the Mesquite.  The mosque turned cathedral is emblematic of the shifts of the shift of power that occurred in Spain’s history.

After the tour, you will take the train back to Seville where you will be picked up and taken to your hotel.

Day 7 – Seville –Granada

Today you will depart for Granada by train.  Our chauffer in Seville will meet you at your hotel and transfer you to the train station where you will take a train to Granada.  Upon arrival in Granada, a driver will be waiting for you there to take you to your hotel.
 
Thriving with exciting nightlife, you may wish to spend your free evening by having  the night on the town exploring the gastronomic delights and warm nights in Granada.

Day 8 – Granada – Half day tour of The Alhambra.

You will be met at your hotel today for your private tour of the neirghbourhoods of the Albaicin and the Alcazaba.  The highlight of this tour is the Alhambra, which was nominated for the status as one of the  seven wonders of the world.  Strolling through the grounds, you will encounter wondrous beauty in the Generalife gardens and see just how prevalent the Arab influence was, and still is, in Spain.

Day 9 – Granada - Barcelona

From Granada you will head north to Barcelona.  As the distance between these cities is great, we will arrange for a flight from Granada to Barcelona for you.  After our driver drops you off at the Granada airport, you will take the plane for a short flight to Barcelona where a driver will be waiting to take you to your hotel.

You can spend your evening strolling the streets of Barcelona to look at the strange architectural delights of the city or visiting the bustling Las Ramblas which is a must for tourists to visit when in Barcelona.

Day 10 – Barcelona – Half Day Sightseeing Tour (including Sagrada Familia)

Your private panoramic tour of Barcelona will give you a glimpse of Barcelona’s multiple personalities.  Key monuments to be seen are Montjuic Hill, the Olympic Ring, the Mirador de L’Alcalde, Arc de Triomf, Casa Batllo and La Pedrera.  The tour will end with a visit to Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia, the wonderfully bizarre Cathedral which has been under construction since the late 1800’s and has yet to be completed!

Overnight in Barcelona at same hotel.

Day 11 – Depart Barcelona

Today you will be transported to the Barcelona airport so you can depart for home, eager to tell of all the adventures you have had during your stay in Spain!
