Day 1 - Depart USA Overnight flight to Madrid.
Day 2 - Arrive Madrid On your arrival, Trafalgar greets you and transfers you to your hotel. The afternoon is free to explore. Tonight after dinner, why not try out some of the tapas bars on the Plaza Mayor? The Spanish dine late and its not unusual to see the streets full of people at 2.00 in the morning! Day 3 - Madrid – Toledo – Granada Today we are off to the ancient capital of Castile, Toledo, lying on the river Ebro. Here sightseeing with a local guide on foot shows us the El Greco masterpiece, the Church of Santo Tomé and visits a Toledo steel workshop. Then to Puerto Lapice, where we will see the place where Don Quixote was said to have been dubbed knight by a local innkeeper. Finally we reach the hilltop town of Granada. Day 4 - Granada – Costa del Sol (2 nights)
Our morning sightseeing visits the spectacular Alhambra Palace, former residence of the Moorish kings and one of the world’s greatest examples of Moorish architecture. Be amazed by the lace-like carvings, the quietly located courtyards filled with trickling water fountains and the stunning Generalife gardens. Then on towards the coast and the Costa del Sol for our two-night stay. Tonight, dinner will be at our hotel. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 5 - Costa del Sol at leisure A full day to unwind on this sunny coast. Perhaps stroll along the promenade or relax in a café. Then maybe head for the old whitewashed village of Mijas in the hills behind the coast to shop for local handicrafts, see the old bullring and feast on delicious ‘tapas’. (Buffet Breakfast)
Day 6 - Costa del Sol – Seville (2 nights) Enjoy a scenic drive past the resort of Marbella and on to La Linea. Here we cross to the Rock of Gibraltar, where you have a chance to explore this much disputed territory. There's time for duty-free shopping, then we travel through the Jerez countryside, home of sherry wines, to the Andalusian capital of Seville. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner) Hotel: Tryp Macarena (2 nights)
Day 7 - Seville sightseeing & at leisure Today we drive through the tree-lined streets on our sightseeing tour. We see the Bell Tower and weather vane of the Giralda and the pools and fountains of the Maria Luisa Park, where sumptuous pavilions were erected for the 1929 Spanish –American Exhibition. We also visit the gothic Cathedral which is the largest in the world and houses the tomb of Christopher Columbus. Tonight, why not try a little Spanish passion at a fiery flamenco show? (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 8 - Seville – Cordoba – Madrid (2 nights) Today we drive along the Guadalquivir Valley to the Roman-founded city of Cordoba. This typically Andalusian town of whitewashed houses covered with geraniums and wrought ironwork also houses one of the world’s most fascinating buildings – the Mosque of the Caliphs which is located inside the Catholic Cathedral! We will also visit the remains of the medieval Synagogue built in the Mudejar style and dating back to the 14th century. Then we return to Madrid across the arid plains of La Mancha. This evening why not stroll along the Paseo del Prado and enjoy some 'chocolate con churros' in a lively café? (Buffet Breakfast) Hotel: Agumar (2 nights)
Day 9 - Madrid sightseeing & at leisure Our morning sightseeing tour with a local guide we enjoy a panoramic sightseeing tour which takes in the Plaza de Espana featuring the Monument to Cervantes, the Gran Via with its many shops, the Puerta del Sol where the New Year celebrations take place, the Cibeles fountain and the elegant Paseo della Castellana. Later you will have time to perhaps visit the incredible Prado Museum (closed Mondays), the austere Escorial Palace of Philip II or the Valley of the Fallen on the outskirts of the city. This evening, why not enjoy dinner with your fellow travellers in a typical 'meson'? (Buffet Breakfast)
Day 10 - Madrid - USA This morning after breakfast, there's time to bid farewell as you transfer to the airport for your return flight to the USA. (Buffet Breakfast)
